Sophie came from a local shelter, she flunked the Safer test. She is dog and food aggressive. The shelters do not have time to work and train dogs like Sophie. So she was scheduled to be euthanized. Sophie is the cutest little girl we have seen in a long time, and would do best as the only dog. Her former owners let this princess do whatever she wanted, so she has not learned that there are rules to live by. She is absolutely wonderful with people, and would be good with children. But she needs a home committed to teaching her that she can not beat up every dog she meets. She is young and with proper training can overcome her desire to be a meanie.

This Colorado Sweetheart is a Colorado Dachshund Rescue friend. All of our dogs, are spay and neutered, up to date on vaccines and are heartworm negative and on preventative and microchipped. Most also have a dental done. We rehome close to 100 Dachshunds each year, and save many of them from certain death at local shelters. By working with local shelters, we are able to give them a second chance to find their new forever homes.
