Tiny-Tag-Along's Story

Tiny-Tag-Along's Story!
Last October, I saw Tiny-Tag-Along on your Rescue page. She was 11-1/2 years old and only 6 lbs. She is a brown and tan smooth. After having her for almost 10 years, her owners didn't want her any more because she was nipping and growling at the children and she had severe colitis and she had some potty problems as well, so they just dropped her off at the vet for good. Fortunately, they called Therese Furhman. It seems that she had been boarded most of her life because her owners travelled alot and of course, when she had bouts of colitis they would board her and then the stress of being boarded made her colitis flare up. Tiny had a hard life and I cried when I read her vet records.
Well, I looked at that little face for almost 2 months..It seemed no one wanted an old gal that had colitis...Finally I could not stand it and had her flown up here (escorted by her Auntie Jude Wade)....It took her almost 6 months to adjust to her new life..She loves to burrow under blankets and under your clothes...If there is a lump on the couch, you know that Tiny is under the covers! She has come a long, long way. No longer does she growl but just loves for you to pet and cuddle her. All she needed was some stability and love. She is also a talker, she barks when she wants to get your attention. She is just a delight and a love to have around. She just turned 12 yrs old in July and outside of her colitis, she acts like a youngster! Our life is truely enriched by her loving us.....

Last week, Tiny-Tag-Along lost her battle with her veterinary problems and she succumbed to renal failure. Her final months were filled with the love and attention that her first 11 1/2 years lacked and on behalf of The Dachshund Rescue Web Page, I would like to express my sincerest condolances to her mommy, Judy and those who's lives were so enriched for having known Tiny. I know who she will be waiting to be reunited with at Rainbow Bridge.
