Banjo is the sweetest dog, we have every met. He was found in a ditch, dragging his rear end. He was taken to a local shelter were he waited for 10 days, and nobody came. By the time rescue was called to help him, the magic window of treating a spinal cord injury had gone by and Banjo still waited. Banjo doesn’t have any choices to help him heal, IVDD is a medical emergency and must be treated by the Vet within 24-48 hours. He is having weekly acupuncture treatment, but the Doc is thinking it may be to late for him.
But not to worry, Banjo is back up standing and spinal walking, and he can run. He does have control to take potty breaks in the yard. Banjo is a dog that needs our help. If you are a home that can love a special dog, then come meet him. If you can’t love a special dog in your home, then love him in your heart, please send a donation, to help cover the cost of his acupuncture.
This Colorado Sweetheart is a Colorado Dachshund Rescue friend. All of our dogs, are spay and neutered, up to date on vaccines and are heartworm negative and on preventative. We rehome close to 100 Dachshunds each year, and save many of them from certain death at local shelters. By working with local shelters, we are able to give them a second chance to find their new forever homes.
