Snuggles is a beautiful little girl who came to rescue late one night, along with her son, Cracker. It is desirable to have them go to a home together, so please take a few moments to read Crackers biography as well, if you have room in your home and heart for two sweeties! It's not a requirement that she go to the same home as her son - just preferable.

Snuggles arrived in February of 2007 and has been waiting patiently ever since for the right home to find her. You may recall seeing her listing combined with Crackers information earlier. We immediately had her vaccines brought up to date, implanted a microchip and our vet remarked at how great her physical condition was. A few "lumps and bumps", which all dachshunds seem to get as they mature, but no health issues at all. On February 26th 2008, both Snuggles and her son, Cracker, had their vaccines brought current (again) so as to ensure that they would both be "adoptable" when the right family finds them.

Snuggles certainly lives up to her name. She loves both giving and receiving attention, so the ideal home will provide opportunities for her to do both. She's not been tested with either children or cats, so I can't answer questions about how she will do with either. Like all dachshunds, she can be a bit nervous meeting new people, but once she knows you (usually takes about 30 seconds or so), she's perfectly willing to be your best friend.
