Annie was the beloved pet of an elderly gentleman who passed away recently. His final request was that his wife care for his pets until their natural time came. After giving her word that she would do all in her power to honor that request, circumstances took a horrible turn and she was unable to do so. With a broken heart, she turned the animals over to rescue, in the hopes that they would find a safe home until their time comes to leave. It was the best effort she could make to honor her late husbands wishes.
Annie is a sweet, sweet girl. She's a little overweight due to the sedate lifestyle that she has led to this point. The vets at Hidden Hills Animal Hospital feel that she should be closer to 12 pounds in weight. They also updated all of her vaccines and implanted a HomeAgain™ microchip. Annie was given a full dental, as her oral health had been severely neglected. She lost a few toofers in the process, but her teeth cleaned up nicely and no future problems are anticipated.
As already mentioned, Annie came to rescue after her previous owner passed away. She came with a companion, Rusty, with whom we would like to place her. She's lived with him her whole life. But, while this is our preference, it is by no means a requirement. It wouldn't be fair to deny her a wonderful home simply because Rusty couldn't go with her.
